Lloyds TSB is proposing to introduce or increase interest and fee-free amounts on planned overdrafts across its mainstream current accounts.
From 2nd October 2012, the bank will:
Introduce an interest and fee-free planned overdraft amount of £25 on its Classic account, which has no monthly account fee.
Introduce an interest and fee-free planned overdraft amount of £50 on its Silver account.
Increase the interest and fee-free planned overdraft amount on its Gold account to £150 (currently £100).
Increase the interest and fee-free planned overdraft amount on its Platinum account to £300 (currently £250).
However, also with effect from 2nd October, the bank will be raising overdraft interest rates and monthly overdraft fees across both its free and paid-for current accounts, for customers who exceed their interest and fee-free facility.
